MINE is a short drama about ownership, inheritance and the difference between being given something and earning it.
Mara Vale has spent most of her adult life building Vale Engineering from the small workshop her father started nearly fifty years ago into a successful company. Now, at fifty-three, she has sold it.
Ben Harris arrives at the old workshop looking for answers. He has heard the story of Vale Engineering all his working life, and to him the company represents something larger than the woman who now owns it. He wants to know what gave Mara the right to sell.
What begins as a conversation about a family business becomes an argument about work, sacrifice and entitlement. Who owns what we create? What do we owe the people who came before us? And when does an inheritance finally become yours?
Set almost entirely inside the workshop where Vale Engineering began, MINE is an intimate, dialogue-driven drama in which two people discover that they agree on the facts.
It is what those facts mean that divides them.
