The duties of a production sound mixer (aka location sound mixer) is to capture clean audio of the talent, atmosphere (aka atmos), and any practical sound effects on set. 
Although film is primarily a visual medium, it's important to have exceptional sound recordings that amplify, enhance, mix or reproduce the sound on set, cleanly and faithfully.

Terry Dray has been involved in film, television and theatre for over thirty years, working as a professional actor for several of those years before gaining an Honour's Degree in Photography, Film & Television in 1999, and in 2019 attaining a Masters in Screenwriting.
